Friends from far and wide gathered to celebrate 101 years of the Department of Pediatrics at Massachusetts General Hospital on Friday, October 12. Former and current residents, as well as current faculty, filled the Paul S. Russell, MD, Museum of Medical Hospital and Innovation for an evening of networking and reminiscing. The event, hosted by the MGHfC Alumni Association, included a cocktail reception, remarks from MGHfC Physician-in-Chief Ronald Kleinman, MD, and testimonials from former residents.
“It has been really fun to bring everyone together like this to enjoy each other's company, foster communication, and form a national referral network,” MGHfC Alumni Association Chair Betsy McKeen, MD, says. “It’s also wonderful to be able to celebrate our 101 years in this museum, which is itself a celebration of historical events at the hospital.”
This was the first large event for the MGHfC Alumni Association since the launch of their new website. To find more information on events and networking opportunities, visit www.massgeneralforchildren.org/alumni.
