Brightly colored cupcakes and soothing tea provided respite for MassGeneral Hospital for Children (MGHfC) families, patients and staff on a blustery winter day. As a way to spread the word about the work of the MGHfC Family Advisory Council (FAC), the council hosted the Feb. 19 Tea Time event on the Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Units. The council is made up of staff and family members of patients who work together to improve and promote family-centered care. “Being on the FAC gives me the opportunity to interact with different departments in the hospital that I wouldn’t normally be able to,” says council member Darcy Daniels.
