BiographyAfter 40 years working in the operating rooms, I have shifted my interests to the anesthetic management of children with cancer. Mass General provides the unique opportunity of offering these children the benefit of proton beam therapy. These children receive about 40 anesthetics within two months. Our goal is the safe management of these unfortunate children while making their daily trips to Mass General as pleasant as possible.
I was very much involved in studies of neuromuscular blocking agents in infants and children. There are no new muscle relaxants being developed and I am not pursuing this line of study anymore.
