Dr. Pieretti has 39 years of experience in Pediatric Urology and Pediatric Surgery. He is Board Certified in General Surgery and Pediatric Surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He did a Fellowship in Pediatric Urology at Sickids Hospital, Toronto, Canada (1973-1974).

During  his  29 years of practice  in Caracas, Venezuela, Dr. Pieretti devoted most of his time and efforts to Pediatric Urology where he founded 3 services of Pediatric Surgery and Urology.Ten years ago he was recruited by the Massachusetts General Hospital and since then he vas devoted 100% of his time to  the broad clinical spectrum Pediatric Urology. 

Dr. Pieretti main area of research interest is in the field of  Pediatric Urology. He has ongoing clinical research   work in surgical treatment od  hypospadias, congenital hydronephrosis,  and undescended testicles. A the present ime he has a total of 12 clinical research projects.
