Description of Research
My research focuses on improving quality of life in patients presenting with various clinical pain conditions. Some of our active projects include identifying optimal method of pain management in patients with multiple rib fractures, the use of a buprenorphine transdermal patch in children requiring continuous opioid analgesia, and incidence of urinary tract infections in patients with epidural catheters for acute pain management. Our work may provide patients with alternative options for the treatment of pain and lead to increased patient satisfaction and improved outlook.
This unique three day course is designed to offer a comprehensive update on the quickly developing field of acute pain and to present the best current techniques and approaches to managing this population.
