Biography
Dr. Laura Politte is a child and adolescent psychiatrist at the Lurie Center and a clinical instructor at Harvard Medical School. She joined the Lurie Center staff after completing a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospital in 2011.
Dr. Politte has a strong interest in caring for individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities, developing comprehensive treatment plans that may include medication and other therapies for emotional and behavioral health. She also has ties to the delivery of mental health in the community, serving as a consulting psychiatrist for the Children's Friend and Family Service community service agencies in Lynn and Lawrence, Massachusetts.
Research
Dr. Politte is a co-investigator for a number of studies at the Lurie Center investigating the effectiveness of medications for psychiatric symptoms associated with autism spectrum disorders.
