The General Store is a gift shop located on the hospital’s first floor, in the Blake corridor. It’s a truly unique store with something for everyone, including parents and children. Stop by and browse our wide selection of items, including:

- Chalk boards, crayons, and coloring books
- Balloons
- Teddy bears
- Flowers
- Snacks and candy
- Books and magazines
The General Store is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Feel free to stop by or call 617-724-1752. There is also a full-service hair salon located in the Cox Building on the first floor of the hospital. Open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the salon offers haircuts, hair color services, and manicures. Stylists can go to patient rooms and provide services including a scalp massage. If a child is feeling up to it, it’s a nice way to feel pampered while in the hospital.
