MGHfC Core Lecture Series

The summer core lectures are focused on pediatric emergencies and the most essential topics for new interns. The fall-spring lectures cover a broad range of pediatric topics that are organized in a roughly developmental progression. Topics most relevant to infancy are given first and progress through toddlerhood, school-age and into adolescence. Each summer, the core lecture series is held daily from 8 am to 9 am. During the fall, winter and spring, it is held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays to accommodate Grand Rounds (Tuesday) and Chief of Service Conference (Friday). Residents and interns attend the lectures either in person at MGH, or via teleconferencing to Cambridge Hospital, North Shore Children’s Hospital, and Newton Wellesley Hospital.
