Gastroenterology Elective Information

Goals and Objectives of Rotation:

  1. Review normal and abnormal gastrointestinal and hepatic function in children
  2. Review and examine outpatients with gastrointestinal diseases. Develop an algorithm for clinical evaluation and management of these patients.
  3. Acquire familiarity of basic gastrointestinal pathology

Weekly clinics:

We have clinic sessions almost every day, either at MGH or at one of our satellite offices at NSMC or NWH. Before the rotation begins we will customize a clinic schedule for the resident which concurs with his/her own clinic and on-call schedule.
