Nephrology Elective Information

Goals and Objectives of Rotation:
- Review normal and abnormal renal function in children
- Review and examine out- and in-patients with renal diseases. Develop an algorithm for clinical evaluation and management of these patients
- Perform a reliable urinalysis including microscopy
- Acquire familiarity of basic renal pathology
- Exposure to concepts and practice of end stage renal disease, including dialysis, nutrition and transplantation
