The Digestive Function Laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital been providing the highest quality clinical and research services to medical communities for over 20 years, We are  CLIA certified (CLIA #22D0903488) to perform clinical laboratory testing in general immunology, routine chemistry and histopathology.  These currently include:  Disaccharidase Analysis (lactase, sucrase, maltase,palatinase) and Anti Erythrocyte Antibody Testing (I Immunohistochemistry and Western blot).  Testing can be arranged for labs or practices outside of the Partners Healthcare System on an individual basis. Dr. Winter is the Director of the Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program at Massachusetts General Hospital. He focuses his work on children with Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Celiac Disease, food allergies, Immunodeficiency, Gastro esophageal reflux disease (GERD). Dr. Winter has been widely recognized for his work with children with Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

The Digestive Function Laboratory is a clinical and research testing laboratory locating in Jackson 1324 at the Massachusetts General Hospital Main Campus. The laboratory offers a unique range of diagnostic laboratory testing including chemistry, immunohistochemistry, spectrophotometry and Western blot. The tests are described in further detail in the “Services” tab.

The Digestive Function Laboratory performs the following clinical tests:

• Disaccharidase test for evaluation of intestinal malabsorption (specific activity of lactase, sucrase, maltase, and palatinase/isomaltase)
