Mass General West Medical Group in Waltham, located at the new state-of-the-art health care facility MassGeneral Hospital for Children West, provides comprehensive primary care for the entire family. Our internists and pediatricians offer routine health screenings as well as complex diagnostic work-ups and treatment for more serious conditions.

Office Hours
The office's hours for Internal Medicine are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The hours for Pediatrics are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with evening hours on selected dates (please call for more information). On Saturday, Sunday and holidays, Pediatric Urgent Care Service is available by appointment. On-call physician care for all patients is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
Billing
We request that you please make any required payments or co-payments at the time of your visit. We accept cash or personal checks. Should you have questions regarding your bill, please call MGPO Billing at 617-726-2040.
Insurance
We accept most major insurance carriers and managed health care plans. Please confirm that we accept your health care plan before your first visit or when you change carriers. If your plan requires you to choose a primary care physician, please be sure to name your Mass General West Waltham doctor.
Referrals
Your primary care physician is responsible for arranging all of your medical care, including referrals to specialists. If you think you require the care of a specialist, call us at 781-522-9000. Your physician will advise you of the best course of treatment, including the proper referral.
Prescriptions
You can fill most prescriptions simply by calling us at 781-522-9000, Monday through Friday. Please have on hand the name of your medication, the dosage, and the telephone number of the pharmacy you would like to use. If possible please call us by 3:00 p.m. so that we can do our best to fulfill your request that day.
Lab Results
Your primary care physician will send most laboratory test results directly to you. In case of an urgent result, a physician will call you as soon as possible. You are also welcome to request your results by calling 781-522-9000, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A member of our staff will return your call.
