Family members of infants and young children with critical airway conditions face challenges in providing complex homecare after their loved one leaves the hospital. Pediatric nursing staff at Massachusetts General Hospital for Children and the Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary are working to understand these challenges and develop recommendations to assist caregivers in providing optimal care. The team recently received the Yvonne L. Munn Nursing Research Award for their work. This award was established in 1998 to fund studies by MGH staff that advance nursing science and improve outcomes for patients & families.
U.S. News & World Report ranks Mass General #2 in the nation and #1 in New England based on our quality of care, patient safety and reputation in 16 clinical specialties.
