WIC, the Women, Infants and Children Nutrition Program

The Women, Infants and Children Supplemental Food Program (WIC) provides nutrition counseling, referrals and food checks to income eligible prenatal women, postpartum women, infants and children up to age five. Fathers, guardians and foster parents are also welcome to apply for WIC services for children in their care.

The WIC staff is an excellent source of information about healthy eating habits, immunization and bloodwork screening, breastfeeding support and referrals to social service agencies and other programs that serve moderate to low income families. During the summer, WIC also supplies eligible families with Farmers' Market Coupons. These coupons are redeemable at your local Farmers' Market. Please call our WIC Office at 617-724-8198.
