Jing Xuan Kang received his M.D. from the Guangdong Medical College (China), his Ph.D. in medical biochemistry from the University of Alberta (Canada) and his postdoctoral training at the Harvard Medical School. Dr. Kang is currently an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a Principal Investigator at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He is one of the leading scientists in the field of omega-3 fatty acid research. He has been a pioneer in demonstrating the efficacy of omega-3 fatty acids in prevention and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death, and in elucidating the mechanism of their action.
