Directions to Venues:    
     
Arlanda Airport to City Center:
(Arlanda Airport is located approximately 40 kilometers from the city center)

Train: The Arlanda Express trains run every 15 minutes between the airport terminals and Stockholm's Central Station. The journey takes 20 minutes and costs SEK 220 for one-way ticket/ 420 for return ticket.

Taxi: If you take a taxi we recommend you use Taxi 020, Taxi Kurir or Taxi Stockholm as they run fixed prices from the airport to the city. We recommend you always ask for the price before entering a taxi. The ride to central Stockholm costs SEK 450-500 depending on Taxi company.

Bus: There is a direct bus connection from Arlanda Airport to the City Terminal next to the Central Station in Stockholm. The journey takes about 40 minutes and costs SEK 99 for one-way ticket / 179 for return ticket, you can buy ticket in advance over the net. Buses leave the airport every 10 minutes.
       
   
Arlanda Airport to Karolinska Institutet Solina Campus:
(Arlanda Airport is located approximately 40 kilometers from Karolinska Institutet )

Taxi: If you take a taxi we recommend you use Taxi 020, Taxi Kurir or Taxi Stockholm as they run fixed prices from the airport to the city. We recommend you always ask for the price before entering a taxi. The ride to Karolinska Institutet (Berzelius väg 3) costs 410-470 SEK depending on Taxi company.

Bus / Train: The direct bus connection or the Arlanda Express train from Arlanda Airport to the City Terminal/Central station, see information above.  From here you can proceed by taxi, bus or metro to Karolinska Institutet.

From the Central station take bus no 47 from the Central Station (leaves from "Vasagatan" at the opposite side of the main entrance) to the final stop which is Berzelius väg 3. No 47 leaves approximately every 10 minutes and the ride lasts 15 minutes. You must buy a ticket before boarding the bus, tickets are for sale in Pressbyrån, one ride costs SEK 20.

From the central station you can walk to the metro station T-Centralen. One ride costs SEK 20. Take the green line in the direction of Hässelby Strand, Vällingby or Alvik (=westwards from the Central Station) to St. Eriksplan. Switch to bus no 3 towards "Karolinska Sjukhuset". It leaves from both of the two entrances/exits of the metro - see signs in the metro. Ask the driver to let you off at Karolinska Institutet. Cross the road and enter by the main entrance of KI. A few meters ahead is the map (same as below) of KI campus. You need to cross campus to get to Berzelius väg 3. (If you need to ask, ask for lecture hall "Adam" or the Berzelius laboratory or the Students' House).

You can also take a taxi from the City terminal/Central station to Karolinska Institutet, SEK 140. We recommend you to use Taxi 020, Taxi Kurir or Taxi Stockholm and to always ask for the price before entering a taxi.
       

Arlanda Airport to the Hotels:

We recommend you to always ask for the price before entering a taxi. The ride to Stallmästargården, Elite Palace and Hotel Oden  costs 440-500 SEK depending on Taxi company.

Bus: The direct bus connection from Arlanda Airport to the City Terminal has Several stops.  Stop “Haga Forum” is a three minutes walk from hotel Stallmästargården. The next stop “Na Stationsgatan”  is  50 m/ 55 yards from the hotel Elite Palace. From next stop “St Eriksplan” there is a 600 m/0.4 mile walk to hotel Oden, or you can take the metro one station from “St Eriksplan” to “Odenplan”.

       

Hotels to Karolinska Institutet Solina Campus:

From Elite Palace and Hotel Oden: Walking distance is approximately 1 km/0.7 miles from Elite Palace and 1.6 km/1 mile from Hotel Oden to Berzeliusväg 3. Alternatively, from Elite Palace Hotel take bus 47 from stop “St Eriksgatan” (0.5 km/0.3 miles from hotel) to the final stop which is Berzelius väg 3. From Hotel Oden take bus 47 from stop “Hälsingegatan” (200 m/650 feet from hotel) on Karlbergsvägen to the final stop, which is Berzelius väg 3. Note, you must buy a ticket before boarding the bus, tickets are for sale in Pressbyrån among other places, one ride costs SEK 20.

From Hotel Stallmästargården: Walking distance is approximately 1 km/0.7 miles to Berzeliusväg 3. The alternative is taxi.

From STF Fridhemsplan:
Take bus no 3 towards "Karolinska Sjukhuset". The bus stop “Kronobergsgatan” is very close to the hostel. Ask the driver to let you off at Karolinska Institutet. Cross the road and enter by the main entrance of KI. A few meters ahead is the map (same as below) of KI campus. You need to cross campus to get to Berzelius väg 3. (If you need to ask, ask for lecture hall "Adam" or the Berzelius laboratory). Note, you must buy a ticket before boarding the bus, tickets are for sale in Pressbyrån among other places, one ride costs SEK 20.

Weather:      
The weather in Stockholm in April is very unpredictable with a snowstorm one day and radiant sunshine the next. However, the average low for this time of the year is 38 degrees Fahrenheit, while the average high is 53 degrees Fahrenheit. Current weather and forecast is available from the Swedish Meteorology and Hydrology Institute.
       
       
Certificate of Attendance:    
A certificate of attendance will be issued at the time of registration to delegates who have requested a certificate in advance. Please make this request to Cynthia Henshall / chenshall@partners.org.
       
Insurance and Liability:    
The conference organizers accept no liability whatsoever for personal injuries sustained, or for loss or damage to property belonging to conference delegates, either during, or as a result of, the conference. Registration fees do not include insurance. You are strongly advised to check the validity of your own insurance before leaving. The insurance is to be purchased in your country of origin.
       
       
Passport + Visas:    
Passport holders from most countries are granted a 90-day stay upon entry to Sweden. For country-specific visa information, please check the most updated information from the Sweden Immigration Department. Participants attending Symposium who require an entry visa for Sweden are advised to make the necessary arrangements well in advance of their departure.

The official language of the Forum is English. No simultaneous interpretation will be provided.
