Division of Clinical Research
The Committee on Clinical Research is an initiative of Massachusetts General Hospital that is working to support the implementation of the Division of Clinical Research as a cornerstone initiative of the Mass General Research Institute.
Under the Massachusetts General Hospital Strategic Plan, the expanded Clinical Research Program (CRP) has become the Division of Clinical Research (DCR) within the Mass General Research Institute. The Committee on Clinical Research (CCR) has the primary responsibility of integrating and supporting the DCR into the overall Institute structure.
The CCR is comprised of representatives from all departments with large clinical research programs, the directors of the Clinical Research Center (David Nathan, MD) and the Translational Research Center (Mason Freeman, MD); the Senior Vice President for Research (Harry Orf, PhD); two Executive Committee on Research (ECOR) staff representatives, and all ECOR-elected clinical representatives.
