About the Dental Group
The MGH Dental Group is dedicated to serving the patient and employee community of the Massachusetts General Hospital. All members of the MGH Dental Group staff strive to provide the highest quality of dental oral care in a caring manner and pleasant environment. The comfort and welfare of the patient are the primary concerns.
The MGH Dental Group philosophy of patient care is that of comprehensive dental care with consideration of each patient’s overall medical wellbeing. Dental health is intimately related to medical health: oral disease can cause systemic disease and vice versa. Patient education on this oral-medical relationship and on the prevention of oral disease is an integral part of our practice philosophy. Not only do we aim to prevent and provide dental treatments for oral disease, but we also aim to make patients feel better about themselves by improving their cosmetic appearance. A “nice smile” can certainly help define one’s character.
The staff of the MGH Dental Group is highly trained to achieve these goals of our practice philosophy. Each of the group’s primary care general dentists has had advanced post-doctoral hospital-based training. In addition dental specialists are available within the group so that patients can receive comprehensive dental oral care “under one roof” without the need for outside referrals. We look forward to meeting the dental health needs of everyone in the MGH community.
