Patients undergoing treatment for head and neck cancer may experience an array of functional and esthetic complications.
Head and neck cancer therapy may cause a vast array of functional and esthetic facial and oral complications, including malocclusion, difficulty speaking and eating, dry mouth, caries, and chronic numbness. All of our general dentists have special training or expertise in helping the patient preparation for head and neck cancer surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. We are also able to help in managing any of the common complications that may occur in the oral cavity as a result of undertaking such treatments.
