Biography

Mayra E. Lorenzo, MD PhD  is a board-certified dermatologist and Clinical Instructor of Dermatology at Harvard Medical School.   Dr. Lorenzo received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University, cum laude.  Subsequently, she received a Ph.D. in Virology and her medical degree from Harvard Medical School.  She completed her internal medicine internship at the Brigham and Women's Hosptial and her residency in dermatology at UMass Memorial Medical Center, where she was chief resident.

Dr. Lorenzo is the co-author of both peer-reviewed and non-peer reviewed articles. She's been invited to speak to both healthcare professionals and community audiences.  As well as general dermatology, Dr. Lorenzo's clinical interests are infectious diseases in dermatology and skin cancer surgery.
