Biography

Joshua D. Shofner, MD is a board-certified dermatologist and Clinical Associate at Mass Genera?s Dermatology Laser and Cosmetic Center.  Dr. Shofner graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. from the University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY.  He received his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT.

While at Yale, he completed the Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellowship in the immunology of cutaneous lymphoma and published several peer-reviewed articles in this field.  Following graduation from medical school, he completed an internship in internal medicine at Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston and a residency in dermatology at the Harvard Combined Residency Program at Mass General. After his residency, Dr. Shofner went on to complete a Laser and Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship at Mass General Hospital.

Dr. Shofner continues to be involved in several ongoing clinical trials.  He has published peer-reviewed articles in laser and cosmetic surgery and has presented at national and international meetings.  His main clinical interests are Cosmetic Dermatology, Laser Surgery, Non-invasive fat removal, Soft Tissue Fillers, Vascular lesions, Tattoo removal, Dermatologic surgery, Sclerotherapy, Tissue tightening, and Botulinum toxin injections (Botox).
