Lilit Garibyan, MD, PhD is a board certified dermatologist and Instructor in Dermatology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Garibyan attended the University of California Los Angeles where she obtained her bachelor's degree (BS) in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics and graduated with departmental, college and Latin honors (summa cum laude). She received both her medical degree (MD), and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in experimental pathology/immunology from Harvard Medical School and Harvard University, Medical Scientist Training Program. She completed her internship in Harvard Medical School affiliated Cambridge Hospital in Cambridge, MA followed by a dermatology residency at Harvard/MGH Combined Dermatology Residency Program in Boston, MA.
Dr. Garibyan has published numerous peer-reviewed original abstracts, publications and book chapters. She has also given several invited guest lectures in the fields of immunology and dermatology. She has published articles in prestigious journals, including Nature Genetics, Journal of Clinical Investigations, JAMA Dermatology, Cancer Journal and the Journal of Investigative Dermatology. Dr. Garibyan has also been invited to give talks at national and international conferences. In addition to her clinical duties Dr. Garibyan is also currently working at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine on understanding the cutaneous nerves. Aside from general dermatology, skin cancer detection and treatment, her clinical interests and expertise are in immunologic skin diseases and eczema.
