My Mass General Experience

The internship provided me with a solid foundation of nutrition knowledge and demonstrated the importance of professionalism in being an effective employee and colleague. My most vivid memories of my time during the internship include long walks back to Brighton with fellow interns after a long day of learning about the profession, other people, and all the opportunities the profession provides.

My Life Beyond the Internship

After the internship, I immediately pursued a master’s degree. Two out of the three jobs I have held, including my current employment, have required a master’s degree. I have worked as a Clinical Dietitian at the Tufts Medical Center and as a Quality Assurance and Design Specialist at Computrition Inc. Currently, I am a Research Dietitian at the US Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM).

My Words of Advice

Always stay professional and keep an open mind:  there are many “non-traditional” RD jobs and many possibilities.
