BiographyMy professional activities in the operating room revolved around giving anesthesia for major general surgical procedures. I enjoyed teaching residents non-conventional techniques of difficult airway management as well as arterial and venous cannulation using an ultrasound machine.

Building on a long career of private practice before coming to Mass General, I also enjoyed teaching the art as well as the science of the practice of anesthesia.

My interests in the field of Biomedical Engineering include the application of information technology to the gathering and presentation of patient data.

Currently I interview patients anticipating surgery and review charts of patients anticipating GI procedures.
