BiographyMy research program focuses on cardiopulmonary diseases and congestive heart failure. We are investigating the systemic effects of breathing NO gas -- particularly its ability to decrease cardiac ischemia-reperfusion injury. Other areas of interest include exploration of the role of NO and cGMP in left ventricular remodeling and the mechanisms by which BMPR2 gene mutations contribute to the pathogenesis of pulmonary arterial hypertension.
