Biography Located in the Heritage Park Plaza in Forestdale, a village of Sandwich, my regional practice serves Cape Cod and the islands of Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, southeastern MA and the Southcoast. I am happy to see infants, children and adolescents with any problems referable to the central and peripheral nervous systems, such as neurodevelopmental delays or disabilities, seizures and epilepsy, headaches, movement disorders, sleep disorders, neuromuscular, neurobehavioral and learning problems, minor head trauma such as concussions, neurometabolic and neurogenetic disorders. Patients are seen 3 days a week, with coverage by MGH pediatric neurologists on call after hours, weekends and when I'm out of town. I read the pediatric EEG's at Falmouth Hospital. I am located in a children's rehabilitation facility, so multidisciplinary evaluation and treatment is provided by physical, occupational and speech and language pathologists in the same building. Neuropsychological evaluation is available. Language translation services are available. Several other pediataric subspecialists from Mass. General for Children provide regular satellite clinics in the same building.
Presently, I am a Professor Emeritus, Clinical Neuroscience and Pediatrics, Alpert School of Medicine, Brown University. Formerly, Professor/Chairman of Neurology, Univ. of North Dakota School of Medicine, and Chairman, Dept. of Pediatrics, King Faisal Specialist Hospital&Research Centre, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
