Biography
Steve Han, MD, PhD completed his neurology residency and fellowship training in neuromuscular medicine/EMG at the Partners-Harvard Neurology Program. He is an Assistant in Neurology at Mass General and an Instructor at Harvard Medical School.
His clinical interests are in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), motor neuron diseases, and related neuromuscular conditions. Dr. Han also performs EMG and nerve conduction studies in the EMG lab at MGH.
He is a member of the the American Academy of Neurology and American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
In addition to his clinical interests, Dr. Han is actively engaged in basic and translational research. He is an affiliate faculty member of the Harvard Stem Cell Institute. His research interests include investigating the potential of patient-specific stem cells to study mechanisms of neurodegeneration in ALS. Dr. Han is a recipient of the Clinical Scientist Development Award from the American Academy of Neurology/ALS Association and is a KL2 MeRIT fellow of the National Institutes of Health.
