Dr. Sarni earned his BA from The College of the Holy Cross and his MD from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. Following his residency, Dr. Sarni completed a fellowship at New York University's Hospital for Joint Diseases.

Dr. Sarni is a physiatrist and sees patients as a part of the multidisciplinary team at the MGH Orthopaedic Spine Center. Physiatrists are rehabilitation doctors who are experts in nerves, muscles and bones. They treat injuries or illnesses that affect how you move and focus on non-surgical treatment options.
