MGH Hotline 5.08.09 Debra Gervais, MD, associate director of the Division of Abdominal Imaging and Intervention, has been named director of the Division of Pediatric Radiology for the MGH Department of Radiology. In her new role, Gervais will assume an administrative role working with pediatric radiologists and the leadership of MassGeneral Hospital for Children.

Gervais completed both her residency in Radiology and her fellowship in Abdominal Imaging
and Interventional Radiology at MGH. Following a brief time in private practice, she was a staff radiologist at Children’s Hospital Boston where she specialized in Interventional Radiology.
At MGH, Gervais has been integral in establishing the tumor ablation program, introducing techniques for liver and renal ablation. With a national and international reputation in the field of renal tumor ablation, she has presented numerous scientific abstracts and educational exhibits as well as published a number of papers on percutaneous ablation. Gervais also has an interest in nonvascular interventional radiology in both adults and children.
