Massachusetts General Hospital investigators collaborate with clinical staff to generate new knowledge and discuss innovations at the First Annual Critical Care Research Retreat.
Mass General Critical Care Center investigators enjoy first research retreat
The Mass General Critical Care Center celebrated its First Annual Critical Care Research Retreat on March 12, 2012, bringing together more than 75 participants from across the Hospital, including nurses, physicians, scientists, administrative staff, students, and respiratory and physical therapists. This forum for critical care research unites multiple disciplines to share peer input and to identify opportunities for collaboration and new projects for investigation.
Fourteen presentations showcased a range of ongoing critical care research, including sessions on basic and translational science, patient and family satisfaction, outcomes research, and quality and safety. The Retreat concluded with a reception and an opportunity to view and discuss the results presented at 20 scientific posters.
The Second Annual Critical Care Research Retreat is scheduled for March 25, 2013.
