The MGH Emergency Department is a full-service,
state-of-the-art facility, caring for approximately 76,000 patients
per year, with 25 percent of patients admitted to the hospital.
It is a Level I Trauma Center, a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center
and a Level I Burn Center – the only hospital in the US
to hold all three designations simultaneously.
