Psychosomatic Medicine/Consultation Psychiatry
Now in its fourth decade, Massachusetts General Hospital's Fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine/Consultation Psychiatry is a one-year program open to board-eligible psychiatrists and internists.
Under the direction of Director Emeritus George B. Murray, S.J., M.D., and Director Gregory L. Fricchione, M.D., the fellowship provides ready access to MGH's extensive basic science and clinical faculty. Fellows are encouraged to participate in the rich academic and clinical environment of the MGH.
Program-specific didactic experiences include over 10 hours each week including:
- Psychosomatics Conference
- Neuroscience Seminar
- Psychosomatic Medicine Seminar
- Bedside rounding
- Access to numerous departmental conferences and rounds
Requirements:
- PGY-5 as of July 1
- Curriculum Vitae
- 3 letters of reference, one from department chair or training director
- USMLE Steps I, II, and III completion
- Full Massachusetts medical license, Massachusetts Controlled Substances registration, and federal DEA certificate by April 15th
- Not on a J-1 visa
