Our researchers are dedicated to improving emergency medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and around the world. Our extensive clinical research program encompasses many aspects of emergency medicine including cardiac emergencies; trauma; acute respiratory and neurological diseases; and global health.

As part of the largest teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, the Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Emergency Medicine has several advanced fellowship programs. Our fellows specialize in particular areas within emergency medicine, such as emergency ultrasound, global health, medical simulation and wilderness medicine. Our fellows are involved in both research and patient care efforts.
