Dr. Leslie Milne, an attending physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, received her M.D. from Temple University School of Medicine. She completed her residency, followed by a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at the University of California San Diego Medical Center. She is an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School.Dr. Milne, is a member of the Quality Assurance Committee for the Emergency Department as well as supervisor for the Emergency Department's monthly Morbidity and Mortality conference. Additionally, she has an interest in finding better ways to manage chronic alcoholic patients that have repeat visits to the emergency department.For 3 years Dr. Milne was the medical director for the Avon Breast Cancer Walk of Boston and continues to be actively involved in this important activity. She gives lectures to medical students, residents, fellows, and other attending physicians, primarily in the area of sports medicine.Dr. Milne has written several book chapters, is an editor for emedicine.com and reviews articles for The Journal of Emergency Medicine. She also works at Children's Hospital in their Sports Medicine Department. Dr. Milne also provides medical coverage for various sporting events in the Boston area.
