
Dr. Lauren Allister, M.D. is an attending physician at the Massachusetts General Hospital Emergency Department where she specializes in pediatric emergency medicine. Dr. Allister is also an instructor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School.

Biography
Dr. Lauren Allister, graduated from SUNY-Downstate College of Medicine. After her residency in pediatrics with Weill Cornell Medical Center-New York Presbyterian Hospital, Dr. Allister completed a Fellowship in emergency medicine at Boston Children's Hospital.
As a fellow, Dr. Allister devoted most of her non clinical time to education. Dr. Allister has spent time exploring original research as well as administrative activities dedicated to streamlining formal and bedside teaching of residents and fellows.
As an Attending Physician at MGH, Dr. Allister has continued to expand her role as a clinical educator. She teaches and develops curricula for pediatric residents learning about emergency medicine as well as for emergency medicine residents who need to learn to apply their clinical skills to the pediatric population. She works actively with the pediatrics program and directs an elective in acute and critical care medicine. She lectures for the emergency medicine residency and serves as a core faculty member for the monthly journal club program to foster pediatric focus throughout the year. In her first year at MGH Dr. Allister received the outstanding teaching award by the pediatric residents.
