Biography
Dr. John Barlow Tanner received his medical degree from Ohio State University. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at the Ohio State University Medical Center. As a senior resident, Dr. Tanner lectured and taught medical students and junior residents.
Dr. Tanner currently serves as co-chair of the resident committee for the wilderness section of the American College of Emergency Physicians. In this capacity, Dr. Tanner works to provide opportunities for emergency-medicine residents across the country to practice wilderness medicine.
Research Description
Dr. Tanner is involved in research focused on wilderness medicine and medical treatment in austere environments.
