The Division of Global Health and Human Rights actively partners with other departments of the MGH in order to extend its capacity in global health.

Global Health Partnerships

The following describes one example of partnership.

Pediatric Acute Care UnitCritical care pediatrics in Uganda: The Division collaborates with the MGH Department of Pathology (Dr. Walter Dzik) in supporting the Cytoadhesion in Pediatric Malaria (CPM) project at Mulago Hospital in Kampala, Uganda (www.cd36malaria.org). The CPM Project is a two-year research study underway at Mulago Hospital in Kampala, Uganda. The CPM project seeks to improve the critical care infrastructure at Mualgo’s Hospital’s pediatric Acute Care Unit. The Division has assisted Dr. Dzik of MGH Pathology in delivering needed medical equipment and supplies to Mulago Hospital.

  • Obstetric ultrasound training in Kigali, Rwanda, for midwives and physicians (with Eric Jauniaux, MD, PhD, University College of London)
