The Thyroid Associates Practice is located on the 7th floor (Room 730) of the Wang Ambulatory Care Center at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

Special Instructions (if available, please bring):

• Copies of your medical records/discharge summary/physician notes
  
• A copy of your x-rays
  
• A copy of your lab reports
  
• Any medication you are taking
  
• Your current blue hospital card.

If you do not have a blue card or if it needs to be updated, please go to the registration area located in the Wang Lobby (7:30 AM to 5:30 PM) at least 20 minutes prior to your appointment.

Our services include diagnostic evaluation and treatment of thyroid disease.

Hyperthyroidism

• Evaluation including Graves' disease, lymphocytic and postpartum thyroiditus, amiodarone-associated thyroiditis, TSH-mediated hyperthyroidism, and hyperthyroidism complicating pregnancy.
  
• Treatment including radioiodine therapy anti-thyroid drugs and surgical referral
  
• Thyroid nodules and goiter
  
• Evaluation including thyroid scintography and fine needle aspiration cytology
  
• Treatment including surgical referral

Thyroid Cancer

• Evaluation including diagnostic iodine scanning after withdrawal or after human recombinant THS (Thyrogen)
  
• Management including therapeutic radioiodine administration and oncologic referral

Hypothyroidism

• Evaluation and treatment, including combination therapy with T4 and T3.

Our faculty also see patients with general endocrine problems (except diabetes).
