At MGHResearch ManagementIn addition to having the largest hospital-based research program in the United States, MGH is home to four of the six largest industrial sponsorships of academic biomedical research in the country. Thousands of physicians, scientists, engineers, nurses, and technicians work in labs throughout the MGH main campus and in the hospital's new 400,000-square-foot research complex in Charlestown. Their drive to discover is nurtured by the MGH commitment to the highest levels of scientific inquiry and academic freedom. The Research Management office is the central focus of research administration at the MGH handling all research related issues, including funding opportunities, Fringe and Overhead Rates, Monthly Funding Deadlines, etc. MGH Research Community (coming soon!)This website, developed by Research Management, is intended to provide the research community with easy access to information needed to perform research and a way to find other researchers by expertise. The site is a great resource for links to Laboratory and Support Services, IRB / Human Subjects Research, and Human Resources relevant to the research community. Check back regularly for updates as this will be a continuously developing site and resources will be added frequently. PhD Steering CommitteeThe PhD Steering Committee is a small group of self-identified MGH-based faculty who share a common interest in enhancing the research environment on our campus with a particular focus on issues unique to people with basic science training working within a clinical department structure.
