Mission
The Office for Women's Careers (OWC) at MGH exists to facilitate the career advancement of women faculty at MGH::
- Increase the number of women faculty promoted by academic criteria.
- Increase women faculty in leadership positions
- Increase retention of female faculty
- Increase job satisfaction.
Advisory Board
Our Advisory Board is called the Women in Academic Medicine (WAM) Committee
Originally formed in September of 1993 by honorary trustee Jane D. Claflin, The Women in Academic Medicine Committee at the MGH provided the original impetus for the creation of the Office for Women's Careers. The committee continues to function in an advisory capacity and meets quarterly.
