Mitchell S. Rein, MD., is currently the Chief Medical Officer and Sr. V.P. of Medical Affairs at North Shore Medical Center. Prior to becoming C.M.O., he was the Chair for the Dept. of Ob/Gyn and is currently a member of the Dept. of Ob/Gyn at MGH where he practices infertility and assisted reproductive technologies and gynecology as a part of the MGH/North Shore Ob/Gyn practice. He is an Assoc. Prof. in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School, and has published extensively on the topics of uterine fibroids, infertility and quality improvement.

Dr. Rein is a fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology. He is also a member of the American Society of Reproductive Technologies, the American College of Physician Executives, the Obstetrical Society of Boston, the New England Obstetrical Society, the Mass Medical Society.

Dr. Rein received his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine. He completed a residency specializing in obstetrics and gynecology and a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
