This course is designed to provide the most recent and relevant information and guidelines pertaining to commonly encountered as well as unusual disorders. The overarching goal is to enable attendees to appreciate and utilize optimal strategies in caring for such patients. The teaching modalities used in the course include lectures, case-based presentations, and interactive opportunities for learners to present their cases for clinical questions to faculty members, and a slide show quiz that is run prior to the commencement of each sessions. Special coverage will be devoted to topics likely to be new and important to registrants: new therapies for hepatitis C, and the management of eosinophilic esophagitis and pancreatic cystic lesions.
