Travis J. McKenzie, MD


Dr. McKenzie graduated (Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA)) from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed General Surgery residency at the Mayo Clinic. In addition to his clinical accomplishments, he was a National Institute of Health T32 GI Research Fellowship Award recipient from 2007-2009 during which time he investigated the molecular pathophysiology of acute liver failure in relation to Toll-Like Recepter 4. Dr. McKenzie has won a number of academic and teaching awards, notably the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons Resident Achievement Award in 2012 and the Chief Resident Teacher of the Year, Mayo Clinic, 2012.
