About the Division of General Surgery   Quick Links

The Massachusetts General Hospital Division of General Surgery provides surgical care for complex gastrointestinal, pancreatic and biliary disorders and is also devoted to high quality treatment of common conditions such as colo-rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, breast disease, gallbladder surgery, and hernias. This website contains helpful information about our services and about our physicians. All of our surgeons hold faculty appointments at Harvard Medical School and many serve in leadership positions of major medical societies. They work together using a collaborative approach to care. Patients requiring specialized care are referred among division members to the surgeon with the appropriate expertise.

We hope you’ll take the time to learn more about us and ultimately choose to entrust your health to the Massachusetts General Hospital Division of General Surgery.
