Esteban Franco-Garcia, MD
Dr. Franco grew up in Bogota, Colombia, where he received his medical degree from the Universidad El Bosque in 2003.
He completed his training in Internal Medicine at the New York Medical College – Metropolitan Hospital in Manhattan in 2011 and then served for an additional year as Chief Medical Resident. During residency training he found in Geriatric Medicine an exciting and growing field in which to continue to develop his career.
His interests include using technology to expand and improve Geriatric and Medical education. Since Medical school, he has used his computer and clinical skills to create new and different ways to promote and enhance medical education. During medical school he won an award in a medical research and educational conference for best medical education project in anatomy. During residency he received awards for different academic, administrative and community projects. Most recently, he won third place at the resident’s poster presentation at the American Geriatrics Society meeting.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and friends as well as music, outdoor activities and travel.
