Esteban Franco-Garcia, MD
Dr. Franco grew up in Bogota, Colombia, where he received his medical degree from the Universidad El Bosque in 2003.
He completed his training in Internal Medicine at the New York Medical College – Metropolitan Hospital in Manhattan in 2011 and then served for an additional year as Chief Medical Resident. During his Geriatric Fellowship training at MGH. He developed an interest in Geriatric Education, Clinical Research, and the care for older adults with hip and other orthopedic injuries, thus he joined the Senior Health faculty to support the Geriatric Inpatient Fracture Service (GiFTS).
Since Medical school, he has used his computer and clinical skills to create new and different ways to promote and enhance medical education. During residency training he found Geriatric Medicine an exiting and growing field in which to continue his interest. Dr. Franco Garcia hs been actively involved with the American Geriatric Society and for the last two years has participated in poster presentations and workshops that enhance and promote geriatric education.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He also takes pleasure in music, outdoor activities, and traveling.
