The Future is Now at Mass General, MGH Fund Spring Lecture 2011
The evening of May 25 not only highlighted some of the exciting advancements in medicine happening right now at Mass General, but also the significant role that private philanthropy plays in making this work possible. Members of the MGH Fund’s The 1811 Society enjoyed a pre-lecture reception with fellow donors and lecture panelists. More than 200 MGH Fund supporters then gathered in the Bulfinch tent for an exciting panel presentation from four of Mass General’s foremost physician-scientists. Topics ranged from smart targets that target tumors and the fight against HIV to advances in Alzheimer’s detection and treatment and a revolutionary cancer-detecting microchip.
