A ceremonial renewal of the MGH's 200-year old charter takes place at the Massachusetts State House with hospital leadership and government officials.

Blood drives are held via MGH bloodmobiles at the State House and at McLean Hospital, which also celebrates 200 years in 2011, as well as on the MGH's main campus.
   
Webster Bull reads excerpts from his new book, Something in the Ether, A Bicentennial History of Massachusetts General Hospital, 1811 to 2011, from 12:30 to 1:30 pm in the Ether Dome.
   
MGH Marketing hosts a table in the White Lobby from 10 am to 4 pm to provide information about a new "Share a Story" Facebook application that enables staff, patients, visitors and other members of the community to share stories about how the MGH has touched their lives.
   

Bicentennial-themed food made available in all retail areas. In addition, wassail – a hot, spice cider beverage – given away at Eat Street Café, Riverside Café, Simches Cafeteria, 149 Eat Street and Tea Leaves.
   
The General Store offers 20.11% off all MGH logo and MGH bicentennial logo merchandise.
   
MGH Hotline, published the afternoon of Feb. 25, features a commemorative mosaic poster.
   
The MGH History Channel launches on Channel 45 on televisions across campus.
   
A display about the Paul S. Russell, MD, Museum of Medical History and Innovation, set to open in late 2011, featured in the White Lobby.
