Doctors, nurses and staff at Massachusetts General Hospital take pride in providing world-class, life-saving patient care. This year, more than 1,600 employees showed that pride by making a gift in support of the hospital’s mission through the My Giving Helps: MGH Fund Employee Campaign.

The annual campaign, which ran during May and June in its second year, raised a remarkable $511,000 for the MGH Fund. Employees who gave included nurses who are inspired by their daily interactions with patients. The head of the MGH Bakeshop doubled his gift this year simply because he loves working at Mass General.

“A company that invests in its employees deserves to have employees invest in that company,” says Jennifer Farmer, a billing office supervisor. “Mass General is world-renowned, but we do not rest on our reputation. From leadership to food service, every role is important to the success of this institution.”

Gifts made to the MGH Fund enhance Mass General’s capacity to meet pressing needs and pursue promising opportunities in a dynamic healthcare environment. Donations have been used to improve patient care in the ICU, seed groundbreaking advancements in cancer detection and provide disaster relief around the globe.
