2009 Applications
Matina S. Horner, Ph.D. Summer Research Fellowships in Eating Disorders
Fellowships will be awarded to outstanding applicants who submit an original proposal. You should design your research proposal so that the project - whether a literature review, pilot data collection, data analysis, or other approach - can be completed within the 10-week fellowship period.
It is generally not feasible to collect data during the 10-week period unless the project has been thoroughly designed and a subject pool of your own has been identified prior to the start of the fellowship. Projects that involve writing a literature review, analyzing previously collected data, writing up a research report from data already analyzed, or participating in a Harris Center project are the most feasible to complete during the 10-week period. The following ongoing projects are available for research participation for Matina Horner Fellows:
- Alcohol and drug use disorders in women with eating disorders
- Anorexia nervosa and osteoporosis
- Web-based nutrition education for college students
We encourage you to work with us as you develop your proposal. Please feel free to telephone us at 617-726-8470 or to e-mail harriscentermgh@partners.org.
