Physicians from both the Corrigan Minehan Heart Center and Fireman Vascular Center often collaborate and overlap while providing distinct, specialized care for either the heart or vascular system.
The Cardiac Catheterization Lab is made up of teams from both the Corrigan Minehan Heart Center and the Vascular Center.
Depending on the condition, patients enter the diagnostic and treatment process at Massachusetts General Hospital through either center. Because conditions of the blood vessels can directly relate to and affect the heart, physicians from both centers often work together to provide care.
A collaborative approach allows our teams to draw upon the expertise of center-specific, specialized physicians. Both Corrigan Minehan Heart Center and Vascular Center patients benefit from this multidisciplinary approach for the complete cardiovascular system.
